Riko and Whaler Collective is a group of musicians from the Philadelphia area known for their high-energy, largely improvised performances and their dreamy, unique, and psychedelic sounds. The group’s far out live performances have been creating waves in the Philadelphia Jam scene and currently are a huge part of the exciting “Philadelphia Psychedelic” music and art scene. Each of the bands shows are a unique experience, featuring elements of jazz, funk, blues, experimental, heavy psychedelic rock as well as lots of captivating jam sections. Riko and Whalers far-out on stage personas and energizing presence as well as the Collective's intricate instrumentals blend together seamlessly, creating a sound that is both dynamic and ethereal.
