Rachel was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley area before pursuing her music career at William Paterson University followed by various record labels in New York City. She grew up a classically trained pianist, practicing and performing since the age of 5. Rachel began writing songs in high school under the influence of contemporary artists at that time such as Alicia Keys, Vanessa Carlton and Norah Jones. Later in life she developed a deep affinity for jazz and blues, inspired by female singers such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James, to name a few. Her original songs are rooted in love and love lost, stories about life, and remaining true to oneself.
